Parents Right to Know Act (House Bill 240)

The Parents Right to Know Act passed on June 30, 2021 updates the Ohio law to provide sexual risk avoidance education for middle and high school students. Public schools submit an annual audit to prove sexual risk avoidance education is provided. These audits must be posted on the Ohio Department of
Education website annually and include the name of the program used.

If Ohio public schools decide to provide any sexual education outside of the requirements in the Parents Right to Know Act, they must inform parents and parents must opt-in children to participate in these programs.

Dear Parents, Guardians and Caretakers,

Thank you for taking the time to visit the Go for the Gold Website! We are glad you are here!
It is a priority for us to connect with those who are raising up this generation of young people. We are here to partner with you and to do whatever we can to help you help your teenager to navigate the relationships in their lives in a positive, healthy, safe manner. There is much to learn and generations to bridge!  The programs presented promote traditional family values, follow the latest health mandates and encourage parental interaction.
Whether you are raising your child to embrace the benefits of abstinence or like me, were never taught these benefits as a teenager, our hope is that you will find the information your child receives through our programs to be encouraging, empowering and positive. Every student has value and deserves to receive information that helps them to thrive and reach their goals.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have, or if you need support.

Sincerely,

Kim Danon
